1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide during registration and profile creation, including name, mobile number, email (optional), date of birth, gender, religion, community, education, profession, location, family details, partner preferences, photographs, and identity documents submitted for KYC verification.

We automatically collect technical data such as device type, browser, IP address, pages visited, and app usage patterns to improve security and performance.

• Account and contact details (phone, email)
• Profile and matrimonial preference data
• Photos and KYC documents (stored securely, not public by default)
• Interest, chat, and connection activity within the platform
• Payment metadata processed via Razorpay (we do not store full card details)

2. How we use your information

Your data is used to operate the matrimony service: displaying profiles to compatible matches, enabling interests and chat, calculating profile completion, sending OTP and service notifications, processing subscriptions, and verifying identity when you submit KYC.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties for marketing. Limited data may be shared with trusted processors (payment gateway, SMS/OTP provider, hosting) strictly to deliver the service.

3. Privacy controls

You control visibility through photo lock, phone unlock requests, and chat settings. Contact details are not shown publicly. Other members see only the information you choose to display on your profile according to plan features and your privacy settings.

• Photo lock — approve who can view your pictures
• Phone unlock — share number only after mutual interest and your approval
• Profile visibility — browse and search respect completion and plan limits
• Account deletion — contact support to request data removal subject to legal retention

4. Data retention and security

We retain account data while your membership is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with law, resolve disputes, and prevent fraud. KYC documents are accessible only to authorised admin reviewers.

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and audit logging for admin actions. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we work continuously to protect your information.

5. Children

Our service is intended for adults aged 18 and above seeking matrimonial alliances. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. Profiles of users found to be under 18 will be removed.

6. Your rights

You may access and update most profile information in the app. You may request correction or deletion by emailing support@kasaragodmatrimony.com. We will respond within a reasonable time as required by applicable Indian law.
